The grape variety Fernão Pires, also knowned by the name Maria Gomes in other portuguese wine regions, is produced in Quinta de Paços, in RioCôvo Santa Eulália, Barcelos. The soil is Granitic with a medium and thick grain.The average altitude of the ground is 83m. The terrain is mainly flat facing south and located on a valley which assures hot summers and cold winters (but with no frost or snow). 1,1 ha of vineyard was In 2003 in this estate planted, with the grape varieties Arinto and Fernão Pires, in a bilateral ascendant double row at 1m above the ground. The grape production adopts environmentally friendly practices of the EU (Integrated Protection).

Vinification:
The wine cellar is located next to the vineyard in the Quinta de Paços. The grapes are destemmed, half of them are submitted for five hours to pelicular maceration, with temperature control.
Aroma:
Very interesting, communicative; citreous and white pulp fruits and floral notes predominating
Tasting Notes:
Defined body, with nice freshness and acidity balancing the set, intense fruit profile, elegant, persistent finish
