Quinta do Crasto
Introduction
Located on the right bank of the Douro River, between Régua and Pinhão, Quinta do Crasto is a 130 hectare estate, of which 70 hectares is planted with vineyards.
Nestled on a privileged location in the Douro Demarcated Region, Quinta do Crasto dates back to ancient times - the name “Crasto” is derived from the Latin word “castrum”, which means “Roman fort”.
With its exceptional location just above the Douro River, the estate´s swimming pool, made famous as it was designed by the renowned Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto Moura, has been the reason for many visits and a lot of national and international media reports over the last years.
Quinta do Crasto offers a wide range of enotourism programs tailor made for each vistor. They include wine tastings, lunches or dinners, and boat rides along the Douro River through our partnership with the Pipadouro company. All the programs end with a visit to our Farm Shop where all the Quinta do Crasto products are available.
