Introduction

Herdade do Vau Hotel is located in a magical place (Alentejo), near the Guadiana River, in the heart of the triangle formed by three historical villages, Beja, Serpa and Mértola. This property has a rich biodiversity as it is very close to the National Park do Vale do Guadiana. The peace and serenity it offers, is what most characterizes the hotel.
Herdade do Vau comes from a former country house, rebuilt in 2012. The wine production had already begun in 2007.
The concept Biochic maintains a responsible attitude towards sustainability and keeps the ecological balance, with the elegant simplicity that characterizes the Alentejo.

The Hotel
The Herdade do Vau hotel has a main house with the typical Alentejo architecture, where you will find a large living room with a fireplace and also spaces created to enjoy several activities such as reading, playing, rest, relaxing…. It also offers a courtyard, terraces, a tennis court, gardens, a dining room, a kitchen and a swimming pool.
The minimalist decoration is based on a perfect symbiosis between functional and enjoyable elegance.
The hotel offers 8 rooms. 2 superior rooms with a double bed, 5 twin bedded rooms and 1 triple room. The elegant rooms at Herdade do Vau are large and feature arched windows overlooking the surrounding vineyards and landscape. All rooms include a private bathroom and some of them have a four-posted bed.
At Herdade do Vau you can also find a Garden, a Terrace/Solarium, Tennis Court and an Outdoor Pool; as well as 24 hrs Reception, Daily Maid Service and Shuttle Service with a fee.
At Herdade do Vau, extra bed and baby cots are available upon request. Next to the main house, Herdade do Vau offers a one bedroom apartment with a living room and a kitchenette, ideal for two adults and two children (named: Casa do Lagar).
